Product Backlog

Product backlog (aka. User story backlog) is the list of prioritized and sorted user stories. The backlog must be continiously kept up to date as the user stories and their priorities change.

Some of the changes in the backlog could be:

  • adding new stories
  • removing or reprioritizing the existing stories
  • decomposing the stories into smaller chunks (aka. slicing) – typically done by the development team
